Meet the Passion Behind Every Class
My name is Melissa Boyd, and I’m the founder and owner of Studio Soul & Motion. Exercise has always been an essential part of my life—it’s where I’ve found strength, clarity, and community. Opening this studio is my way of blending passion with purpose: creating a space where movement inspires connection, and where every class is designed to nurture both body and soul.

Ryann
INSTRUCTOR
Ryann was not an athlete growing up and was more into skipping gym class than participating. It wasn’t until she discovered a free online bodybuilding program and started to strength train at home that she found her love for fitness. Realizing she actually enjoyed this type of exercise, she stuck with it, joined a gym and took up bikini body competitions as hobby.
Now many years later, after becoming a mom and having a a whole new focus, she spends her days chasing a busy toddler and appreciates the importance of staying strong and healthy more than ever.
Finding time to exercise can be challenging, so Ryann strives to keep her classes efficient, inspiring, and fun in hopes others will find their passion for fitness the same way she did.
Outside of working out, Ryann enjoys spending quietly time with her family and snuggling up with a good thriller novel.

Betty Ann
INSTRUCTOR
Betty’s journey with yoga began as a young seeker curious about spirituality, later deepening during a challenging chapter of her young adulthood asana classes provided both refuge and renewal. Over the years, she’s returned to the mat time and again, recently reconnecting with the deeper teachings of the Dharma. This personal evolution fuels her desire to create classes that are both invigorating and welcoming, built around medium-paced vinyasa flows that emphasize the power of breath and movement to inspire self-discovery.
Guided by values of authenticity, self-compassion, and curiosity, Betty aims to meet students where they are—offering dynamic, heat-building flows with thoughtful cues that invite confidence and connection. Her teaching reflects her adaptability, eagerness to learn, and genuine passion for yoga as a lifelong journey. Whether you’re new to yoga or returning with fresh eyes, Betty’s classes are designed to spark your interest, challenge your body, and leave you feeling just a little more grounded than when you arrived.
When she’s not on the mat, you’ll find her exploring New England, paddle boarding, or hiking with her dog—always staying curious.

Krishna Valentine
INSTRUCTOR
Krishna’s passion for yoga began years ago during a transformative period in her life, the very first time she stepped on to her mat she felt connected to the practice and teachings of yoga.
What began as physical practice soon revealed itself as a powerful tool for self-discovery, healing and inner awareness. Through yoga, Krishna learned to go inward, reconnect with her true essence, and cultivate balance between mind, body and spirit. This journey inspired her to pursue her 200 hr YTT through the Fluid Yoga School, where she deepened her understanding of the practice and its profound benefits. Krishna is passionate about holding a supportive space, guiding students to move with awareness, and honor their own unique journey on the mat.
Beyond the mat Krishna finds joy in spending time at the lake paddleboarding, hiking in nature and caring for her ever-growing collection of plants. She is endlessly curious and loves seeking out opportunities to learn new things. Above all, Krishna treasures being a mother to her two daughters who are her greatest inspiration.
